The Project

There are three venues comprising of the Grandlife Hotels jazz offerings: The Django, Club Room, and Roxy Bar. The two hotels are two blocks from each other and wanted to do a cross promotional event to help boost awareness. I was tasked with leading the brand creation and implementation across all marketing channels.

Logo Design

This flow architecture is a system of my own making, based on some elements of tactics from Altitude Inc (Now owned by Accenture). It utilizes a list of every task necessary to a user and then iteratively adjusting their placement to create groups signifying pages and sections.

Social Media

New social media templates needed to be developed to emulate the new brand but also integrate the brands of the venues. With a focus more on the image of the act, the thin tall lettering provided the perfect balance of space and type. The second challenge proved to be the multiple sizes to accommodate the two most common sizes used on Instagram, the 4:5 and 9:16 ratios.

Print Collateral

When I have some spare time between big feature updates, I do my best to start building the social media. Currently focusing on Instagram I've developed a few different posts for this.

Downtown NYC JazzFest postcards and full schedule flyer

Other promotional assets like these postcards were used as check presenters across all venues in the weeks leading up to the event. Other big touch points were the T-shirts and the wheat paste poster campaign.

Website

Also making the website proved a large enough undertaking. Building a contemporary but theatrical look to emulate the jazz stage, the side bar proved to be a useful mechanism for the responsive/mobile sizes.
